“There’s something special about drawing and sketching hair. Especially Black and Afro-textured hair. I feel truly privileged to have the ability to use my hands in a way that can make, what I consider to be fantastical, a reality that I can hold and share with others. Creating these stories, people, and visual experiences with various materials connects you to the process in a way that gives you more respect and curiosity for the materials used and the process itself.”
